Daily Bee, city need to show us the comp plan

| December 12, 2007 8:00 PM

The managing editor of the Daily Bee asks us to be wise enough and unselfish enough to embrace a document that reflects the dreams and wishes of those who want things we do not. But what does the comp plan look like? Has the Bee printed the map in their paper so the citizens can see how they are affected? Has the Bee printed the map in their paper so the citizens know whether major change is happening in their neighborhood? Or does the Bee want us to compromise with what an out-of-town firm and a few select people guided by this firm have in store for our town?

Personally, I am glad the Save Our Sandpoint group is having a meeting to inform us since the Bee seems to want us to accept this comp plan with no fuss and little information.

How about it, Daily Bee — let's see the plan.
