Prosecutors should not give countless plea deals

As Bonner County residents, we should be outraged at the countless plea bargains given to the areas sex offenders. Is there a greater crime than molesting one of our children or raping one of our citizens?

Time after time, our district attorney is letting those who prey on our defenseless children, plea bargain down to lesser charges.

What about our judges who are accepting these pleas?

It's time that we pressure our elected officials to prosecute these unforgivable crimes to the fullest extent of the law. It's time we protect our citizens from these unscrupulous preditors. It's time to pass "Megan's Law" in Idaho. It's time to write letters to our elected officials and demand action. It's time to speak out.
