Grandma got run over by a pickup truck
Grandma got run over by a pickup
Walking downtown Sandpoint late last week
You might think that no such think could happen
But as for me and Grandpa: life is bleak
She'd been out doing lots of shopping
(And downtown's the finest place to go)
But as she stepped out into the crosswalk
A pickup knocked her down into the snow
When we ran out and pulled her from the pavement
Right there at the scene of the attack
There were skid marks on her handbag
And incriminating tread-marks on her back
Grandma got run over by a pickup
We hope she will recover, but 'till then
We're looking for that milk of human kindness
Where's all that peace on earth, good will to men?
I've now warned all my friends and neighbors
Who'd like to think that "Walking Town" tag true
Too many folks would rather run you over
Please ask yourself if this might sound like you.
