Gagnon and Quinn in first after Rail Jam #1

SANDPOINT — Sandpoint skiers Josh Gagnon and Ali Quinn won the men's and women's categories, respectively, as more than 60 skiers and snowboarders competed in the Shot in the Dark Rail Jam #1, the first event in a three-part series at Schweitzer last Friday.

Gagnon posted a top score of eight and Quinn a top score of six to win their events. Sagle's Cole Lindsay finished third, and Sandpoint's Brennen Chasse and Jasper Gibson tied for eighth to round out the men's ski category.

Sandpoint's Paul Gilbert finished third, with a top score of nine, to lead a host of area finishers in the men's board category, which accounted for the majority of the Jam's competitors.

Other local finishers in men's board included Amani Summeroay (6th), Daniel Maus (8th), Dash and Kix Camp (11th), Jake Adams (15th), Andrew Harder (16th), Ben Fisher (16th), Chris Vitcher (16th), Nathan Maus (16th), Matt Miller (23rd), Robby Carne (23rd), Mike Lorden (33rd), Scott Banks (33rd) and Eddie Ogle (37th).
