Work with, don't fight, ITD's Sand Creek route

| December 31, 2007 8:00 PM

It's going to happen, people. Just do it

It's up to us to keep it going. Can't go back, B.L. Go forward or move. Progress happens everywhere. Don't fight it, join it and make it better. Anything is better than what we have considering the new changes happening.

We have a beautiful place here. The byway will actually enhance the beauty with the bike path and walking park. A place for skate boards and help get the main traffic out of downtown.

If the railroad is there, why can't the byway be there also? We will be getting more train traffic and the byway will drown that noise. It will also show off our beach and the other sights. Work with it, don't fight it. It's going to happen people.

I've only been here 40 years and the only thing I've seen done to Sand Creek is it has filled up with boat docks and cement condominiums, built between the railroad and water — right where we used to drive to the city water peninsula to watch the fireworks. I used to shop in town, now I can't even park downtown.

There is something wrong with a certain group's thinking.
