Alice 'Jean' Brown, 80

Alice "Jean" Brown, 80, passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at the Lake Street Apartments Recreation Room, 1411 Lake St., Sandpoint, Idaho. Pastor Tony Nelson from the First Christian Church is officiating.

A private burial service was held at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Sandpoint.

Jean was born on Nov. 16, 1926 in Wagon Mound, N.M., the daughter of Guy and Cora (Davidson) Long. Her family moved to Eastern Oregon in the 1940s where she lived until 1989, moving to Sandpoint to be near her grandchildren.

She owned and operated a small restaurant in Pilot Rock, Ore., for 14 years. Jean loved attending her grandchildren's athletic and social activities.

She is survived by her son Randy Brown of Spokane, Wash.; and her daughter, Carla Fister, of Sandpoint. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Alison Fister and Leonard Fister; and her sister, Marie Matson (Ernest) of Lake Havasu, Ariz.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Bonner Community Hospice, P.O. Box 1448, Sandpoint, Idaho 83864.
