Bulldogs set sights on a six-pack of titles
POCATELLO — So far so good for the Bulldog wrestlers at the state tournament in Pocatello, as they advanced a whopping six wrestlers into today's finals at Holt Arena.
Timmy Pepperdine (103), Alec Ward (112), Joey Fio (125), Kyle Meschko (152), Jerod Morris (171) and Taylor Morris (189) all advanced with convincing wins in Saturday night's semi-finals.
The 4A record for most individual titles is three, well within the Sandpoint's striking distance.
"We'd sure like to," responded coach Mike Randles when asked if the Bulldogs can win all six finals. "The kids are certainly capable of making that happen."
The Bulldogs also have a couple of wrestlers who could place, and depending on how the six finalists do, could help secure another team title after a three-year hiatus.
