SANDPOINT — A Bonner County teen admitted Tuesday bringing a loaded handgun to Lake Pend Oreille High School late last year.

Thadeous Malcolm Sonesen's disposition hearing, the juvenile court's equivalent of a sentencing hearing, is set for April 10.

Sonesen, 15, was charged with misdemeanor possession of a concealed weapon without a permit after reportedly showing the .22-caliber pistol to his classmates on the way to school on Dec. 4, 2006.

Sonesen never threatened anyone with the weapon and reportedly told Sandpoint Police that he learned it was in his bag only after boarding the school bus, according to court records.
