Robert E. 'Bob' Knoke, 84

Robert E. "Bob" Knoke, 84, of Priest River, Idaho, passed away on Dec. 28, 2006.

Robert had been a Priest River resident for more than 44 years.

Born in 1922 in Omaha, Neb., he moved to Appleton, Wis., with his family. His father had a meat plant. Bob's father died when he was 4 years of age.

He was a World War II veteran and active Mason in Newport and Priest River both for 43 years.

He met and married Jane Anderson Brown in 1943 in Neenah, Wis. They had five children, Alice (and Jerry) Mifflin of Colorado, Larry (and Elizabeth) Knoke of Post Falls, Idaho, Trudy (and John) Barrett of Algonquin, Ill., Bob (and Carol) Knoke of Cusick, Wash., and Janet Nelson of Newport, Wash.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He had an older brother, George and a sister Lillian; they both preceded him in death.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home in Priest River. Sherman-Knapp Funeral Home and Crematory in Priest River is in charge of arrangements.
