Mark E. Carter, 48

Mark E. Carter, 48, passed away on Monday, Dec. 25, 2006, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Mark was born May 20, 1958, in Washington, the son of Dixie L. (Roberts) and Theadore I. Carter. At 3 months old, Mark and his family moved to Idaho, where he spent the rest of his life.

Mark loved all the outdoor activities that North Idaho had to offer. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be most remembered for his outgoing and playful attitude.

Mark was a very dedicated and hard working man. He worked at the Sandcreek Mill for about 15 years. He then spent five years at Coldwater Creek before going to work for Litehouse. He enjoyed the last two years working for Litehouse Dressing here in Sandpoint.

Mark is survived by his daughter, Jessica Townsend and her husband Tony Townsend; grandchildren, Casey and Alicia Townsend; his brothers, Barrett, Willy (Ira) and Roody; and his sisters, Carol and Donna. His is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mark is preceded in death by his son Travis in 1996, his parents; grandmother Nettie Roberts.

There will be a wake in his honor on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at the Sandpoint Community Hall at 3:30 p.m.
