Johanna Olava Blum Roe, 92

Johanna Olava Blum Roe, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother was called to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006.

Johanna was born in Elmira, Idaho, on Sept. 23, 1914. She and her two brothers and four sisters were raised in North Idaho. She attended Sandpoint High School and graduated from North Central High School with a post-graduate course.

Johanna worked as a secretary for Inland Motor Freight and Garrett Freight Lines in Sandpoint, Idaho for 14 years. She was also employed with General Telephone Company before moving to Spokane. She later became a displayer for Home Interiors and Gifts for 27 years.

While living in Sandpoint, she was a member of the Lutheran Church and after she moved to Spokane, she became a member of the Fourth Memorial Church.

Her daughters are Delores Holbert of Kellogg, Idaho, Carol Denny and Twila Wyatt of Spokane. Johanna was preceded in death by her husband, Fred B. Roe in 1972, her daughter Laurel on February 15, 2006, and her five siblings. "You are dearly loved and greatly missed."

A service for Johanna will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at Fourth Memorial Church, 2000 N. Standard, Spokane, Wash., at 2 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at Lakeview Cemetery in Sandpoint, Idaho at 10 a.m. Heritage Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
