Evelyn Marie Johnson, 86

Evelyn Marie Johnson, 86, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, in Post Falls, Idaho.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30a.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, in the Sandpoint Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2255 West Pine St., Sandpoint, Idaho. Pastor Matt Lombard and Pastor Bob Hancock will officiate with interment in Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Evelyn was born in Portland, Oregon on Nov. 21, 1920 the daughter of John and Bernice Nissen. She graduated from high school in St Helens, Oregon in 1939. On Feb. 10, 1950 she married Glenn Johnson in Yuma, Arizona.

She lived in Vista and Riverside, Calif., and Las Vegas, Nev., prior to moving to Sandpoint in May 2005.

She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and loved to read and write poetry.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years Glenn Johnson of Sandpoint, Idaho; seven children, Jay Johnson of Los Angeles, Calif.; Virginia Mae (Pearce) Lockhart of Gresham, Ore., Darrell A. Pearce of Gresham, Velda I. (Pearce) Wadkins of Sandpoint, Glenda M. Watters of Sandy Valley, Nev., Joanne L. Teel of Grants Pass, Ore., and Cathy A. Stanton of Las Vegas, Nev.; 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Her parents and a brother and a sister preceded her in death.
