Jeffres, Allen lead Cats to wins over Mullan

MULLAN — Clark Fork opened a 16-4 lead after the first quarter and never looked back in a 53-23 win over the Mullan Tigers on Friday at the Mullan Pavilion.

Clark Fork post Cameron Jeffres had a game-high 15 points to lead the Wampus Cats on the evening.

Mullan point guard Jay Ploharz had 11 points to lead the Tigers.

Girls game:

Clark Fork guard Rayna Allen had a game-high 22 points to lead the visiting Wampus Cats to a 56-20 North Star League win over Mullan on Friday night at the Mullan Pavilion.

Mullan freshman Kayla Ovineck had a team-high nine points, hitting two three-pointers for the Tigers on the night. Fawn Story had 11 rebounds, six blocks and eight points for the Tigers in the loss.

Both Misa Tumova and Hannah Valerio each added seven rebounds for the Tigers on the evening, with freshman Kayla Elliott turning in a great defensive performance according to coach Sherry Leitz.
