Kathleen Anne Gilmore, 53

Kathleen Anne Gilmore, born on Jan. 28, 1953, died peacefully on Jan. 7, 2007, after a long struggle with an illness.

Katie was baptized Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, and was a member of the Sandpoint Church of Christ.

She was known for her friendly smile, generosity, and love for cats.

Born in Glendale, Calif., and raised in Neillsville, Wis., and Chicago, Ill., she moved to San Francisco, Calif., in her early 20s. She moved to the Sandpoint, Idaho, area in 1984, where she worked at the Franciscan Rest Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Virginia Gilmore, and a brother, Dennis Iverson. She is survived by her brothers, Robert "Peter" Gilmore, Michael Gilmore of Seattle, Wash., Bruce Lange of Chicago, and sisters Diane Caprio of Guerneville, Calif., and Donna Lange of San Francisco.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life on her birthday, Sunday, Jan. 28, from 1-3 p.m. in a private meeting room at the Powerhouse in Sandpoint. Refreshments will be served.
