Barbara June Surby, 81

Barbara June Surby, 81, passed away January 16, 2007 in Spokane Valley, Wash.

She was born June 6, 1925, in Sandpoint, Idaho, to Clifford and Nellie (Crowder) Robinson.

Barbara is survived by two daughters Dianne (Tom) Fischer, and Teresa (George) Quiggle, all of Spokane, Wash.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kelly Fischer, Tara Fischer, Lacey Quiggle, Brody, Diane Austin and Connor Quiggle, Heather, Rob, Madison and Hannah Queen, Scott, Jill and Alex Surby, Kristy, Robbie, Sidney, Stormi and Windi Winter, all of whom were her source of unending joy; two brothers, Wes Robinson of Centralia, Wash., and Bill Robinson of Mesa, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her son, Ken Surby, in 2000, and her husband, Art Surby, in 1987.

Barbara lived in the Spokane area for the past 30 years and recently was a resident at the Good Samaritan Village in Greenacres.

She was a great cook, an avid reader and an enthusiastic football fan. She enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, ice skating and gymnastics.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Good Samaritan Village, 17117 East 8th, Greenacres, Wash.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Good Samaritan Village.
