PSNI needs community's help with makeover

| January 28, 2007 8:00 PM

Panhandle Special Needs, Inc., held an open house in mid January that I attended and found to be a very enlightening and rewarding experience.

This wonderful facility that trains and educates persons with disabilities has gone about its business in our community for many years placing people in jobs, helping people maintain and keep up their own apartments, teaching them skills such as shopping, cooking, budgeting and cleaning.

Panhandle Special Needs, Inc. needs our help now. The old building, though kept clean and neat with staff making the most of what they have to work with, is in desperate need of a makeover.

Drop by any time and see for yourself the plans that are being made and the efforts and support of people in the community to give this old building a complete makeover.

I guarantee you will be impressed.

A special "pay it forward" fund has been established at Bank America to receive your most welcome contributions.
