Daniel Allen 'Danny' Rogers, 55

Daniel Allen "Danny" Rogers, 55, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at his home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at First Lutheran Church in Sandpoint, Idaho, with Pastor Dave Olson officiating.

Danny was born on Nov. 8, 1951, in Fairbanks, Alaska, the son of Jack and Patsy (Bloxom) Rogers.

He moved with his family at an early age to Sandpoint, growing up in the area and attended schools up through the eighth grade before moving again with his family to Missoula, Mont. He attended schools in Missoula, was a superb athlete in basketball, football and track. He graduated from Missoula High School in 1970.

He was active in music and played the bass guitar with a band in Missoula. The band toured the west coast including stops in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. Dan lived life to the fullest.

Danny also worked for Footlocker Athletic Wear stores in Missoula, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City, until 1995 when he moved to Coeur d'Alene. He enjoyed cooking for local restaurants and later worked in the area saw mills.

He enjoyed his music, golf and bicycling.

Survivors include his brothers, Dean Rogers of Las Vegas, Nev., and Doug Rogers of Helena, Mont.; and a niece, Ashley Marie Rogers of Las Vegas, Nev.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Patsy Rogers.
