Hazel M. Irwin, 92, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. (Mountain Standard Time) on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at the Trout Creek Community Church in Trout Creek, Mont., with Pastor Jeff Nemes officiating. Burial will follow at the Whitepine Cemetery.

Hazel was born in Macoun, Saskatchewan, Canada, on May 12, 1914, to Henry and Nora (Olsen) Huntley. As a child her family moved to Archer, Mont. In 1936 she met and married Milt Irwin in Minot, N.D.; they later divorced.

She moved to Seattle to work at Boeing during World War II. She later went to work at Pacific Telephone in Seattle. She retired from the telephone company in Mt. Vernon in 1978, and moved to Idaho to be closer to her family.

She is a member of Cyrene Chapter No. 110 Order of Eastern Star Sedro Wooley. She loved watching the Mariners and Seahawks and playing solitaire.

She is survived by her sister, Anna (Benny) Dickson of Trout Creek, Mont.; a brother, Johnny Olson of Thompson Falls, Mont.; and numerous special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Francis Shuey; a brother, Boyd Olson; and a sister-in-law, Margie Olson.
