We must all work to end the evil of abortion

The week of Jan. 22 was "Sanctity of Life" week and marked the 34th year since abortion was legalized. There have been about 34 million babies murdered during these years. Why?

There are two divergent views, one being that we are just random arrangement of cells and that we, as everything else, have evolved. Thus man's past, present and future is changing and we answer to no one. Thus, whatever is expedient, for whatever reason, the result (among other things) is 34 million babies murdered.

The other view is that we were created in the image of God. Life itself is a gift from Him and we are to live to His glory. We answer to Him and will ultimately be judged by Him. Right, justice, truth and mercy are attributes of our Creator and we are to apply these standards to life. Thomas Jefferson's words are applicable, "Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; (and) that His justice cannot sleep forever."

Let us work to put this evil out of our land.
