Laurel Cordale "Johnny" Johnson went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 6, 2007, at Kootenai Medical Center in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.Laurel was born on Dec. 6, 1926, in Bottineau, N.D., the son of Victor and Clara (Larson) Johnson.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an auto mechanic in Spokane, Wash., Sandpoint, Idaho, and Bonners Ferry, Idaho, retiring in 1988.Laurel married JoAnn (Bunney) on April 25, 1947, in Coeur d'Alene. They have four children, Lauren Bowlby, Gary and Marge Johnson, Joe Johnson and Penny and Virgil Howell; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Services will be held at a later date.English Funeral Chapels and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.Please sign Johnny's guest registry and view his online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
