Hellar's leadership will move city forward

I was gratified to hear that Gretchen Hellar has announced her candidacy for mayor of Sandpoint in the coming election.

She has great leadership abilities and will provide an open atmosphere for citizens to freely voice their concerns about city issues.

She is energetic and will take the initiative to empower ourselves to act on our own behalf. For example, she will tackle issues like our traffic problem, searching for local solutions and not wait for outside agencies to eventually dictate their solutions to us.

Finally, she is a person of vision and foresight and can articulate and guide us in making improvements in our city by looking at our needs for the future.

I urge you to support Gretchen Hellar in the next election for mayor.
