Signs should be aimed at motorists, not swimmers

In response to a recent complaint by a motorist who is concerned about swimmers jumping off the bridge on Colburn-Culver Road into Pack River, just north of Northside School — if the county is persuaded to consider putting up signs, I hope the signs will be directed at motorists, not the swimmers. How about "Yield to pedestrians." Or, better yet, "Stop while swimmers are on bridge." It would be unfortunate, in my opinion, if swimmers were no longer allowed to jump off the bridge.
