Phyllis June Yanik, 71

Phyllis June Yanik, 71, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Wednesday, July 18, 2007.

Friends may call to pay their respects on Thursday, July 19, fromnoon, until 6 p.m. at Coffelt Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 20, in Coffelt's Funeral Chapel. Pastor Jon Pomeroy, First Church of God Anderson, will officiate.

Phyllis was born in Cory, Pa., on Oct. 2, 1935, and attended school in Bear Lake, Pa. She worked for the woolen mills and JC Penny's in New York state.

On Nov. 19, 1955, she married Fred Yanik in Bear Lake, Pa.

In 1964 ,she moved to Simi Valley, CA and was a supervisor for newspaper distribution for the Simi Valley Enterprise. She moved to the Sandpoint area in 1994.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Fred Yanik of Sandpoint; three children, Fred Yanik Jr., (and Jackie) of Clark Fork, Idaho, Tammera Welch of Portland, Ore., and Tony Yanik, (and Brenda) of Sandpoint; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, Roger Smith of Jamestown, N.Y.; three sisters Carol Snow of Jamestown, N.Y.; Joyce Chartion of Tucson, Ariz., and Linda Snow of California. Her parents preceded her in death.
