Debby Hopkins, 54

Debby Hopkins, 54, of Center Ridge, Ark., passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007.

She was born Feb. 5, 1953, in Oakland, Calif. She was a special needs caregiver and a member of the First Baptist Church of Center Ridge.

Debby will be remembered for her beautiful smile that brightened the lives of all that knew her. Her heartfelt generosity and selfless, giving nature touched the hearts of many. Those who knew Debby will remember her for the love she had for her daughters, her husband, fishing, her flowers, the ocean and all her animals. She will be greatly missed by everyone.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Hopkins of Center Ridge; two daughters, Tracy Hopkins and Kristy Hopkins, both of Center Ridge; her father and mother, Leslie Downs and Marion Burtch Downs of Hope, Idaho; brothers Dennis, David, Tommy and Billy Downs, all of San Diego, Calif., Timmy Downs of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Bobby Downs of Oak Creek, Colo.; sisters Donna Downs Turnbull of Hope, Teresa May Albertson of Sandpoint and Tina Corbett of Durango, Colo.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2007, at First Baptist Church of Center Ridge with Brother Russ Rhoden and Brother Eldridge Snow officiating. Burial was held at Lost Corner Cemetery in Center Ridge.

A local memorial service will be set for a later date.
