Music teachers grateful for company's support

| June 20, 2007 9:00 PM

I am a music teacher and I work at both Sandpoint High School and Sandpoint Middle School. I just want this community to know how supportive and generous Dennis Pence and the Coldwater Creek organization have been to the schools.

Every year the music programs at these two schools face many different financial tasks. The bands always need to repair instruments and purchasing new ones. The vocal departments are always upgrading their concert attire and traveling to festivals outside the local area. This year, Coldwater Creek has helped with all these tasks. They helped the schools repair instruments and they also financially supported the vocal department at SHS by helping purchase new concert attire. They also supported the choir's trip to the Northwest Vocal Jazz Festival in Portland, Ore. We are talking tens of thousands of dollars here. With support like this, teachers can spend their time teaching students and not doing fundraisers all year.

Mr. Pence, my hat is off to you. Your organization is greatly appreciated. Your generosity and support goes beyond the call of duty. I just want the community to know what I know; and that's only the examples in the school music programs. I know that other sectors of the community benefit from your giving attitude as well.

Thank you, Coldwater Creek.
