University should add visual arts venue

Please join us by attending the Sandpoint City Council meeting at City Hall, located on 1123 Lake St., this coming Wednesday, June 27, at 5:30 p.m. We are asking that you come to help support the addition of an art program and art gallery to the proposed fine arts building for the University of Idaho's Sandpoint campus.

It seems to us that POAC, Arts Alliance, Panhandle Alliance, Timberstand Galleries and many others have expended much effort to create an atmosphere of art appreciation and awareness.

We believe the addition of an educational venue will amplify all of these efforts.

We also believe that along with the proposed music and theater venues, a visual arts venue would complete and complement this exciting and generous endeavor to enrich the arts education of our community.

Hope to see you at the meeting on Wednesday.
