Graham R. Knox, 72

Graham R. Knox, a Hood River resident passed away on June 24th, 2007 at the Hood River Care Center.

Graham Knox was born July 18, 1933, in Boise, Idaho to Richard and Estella (Luhr) Knox. He was raised in Emmett, Idaho, and graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, Tenn.

He then attended the University of Idaho, earning a degree in music. Graham served in the U.S. Army during the 1950's. He was discharged in 1961. In 1961, he and Anna Brooks were married in Emmett, Idaho. He owned and operated Kelly Ann Ranch in Emmett. He then moved to Grandview, Wash., in 1973. Graham worked for several fruit packing companies in Grandview, Sunnyside and Milton-Freewater before moving to Hood River in 1989 where he worked as a supervisor for Diamond Fruit Company.

He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Graham loved music and played the bass viola. He also enjoyed drama and participated in the productions of "Hello Dolly" "Camelot" and "Finnean's Rainbow."

He is survived by his wife Anna of Hood River, Ore., daughter Kelly Ann Eilmann of Clarkston, Wash., and Catherine Knox of Battleground, Wash., and grandchildren Mkcade, Canaan and Quinnlyn.
