Virginia Ann Irvin, 78, a resident of Dallas, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007.

A cryptside service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, July 2 in the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Salem, Ore., followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. Monday in the Faith Evangelical Free Church in Dallas. She was born on Feb. 12, 1929, in Sandpoint, Idaho, the daughter of Walter and Frieda Weyerts Thomas. She graduated from Sandpoint High School and went on to attend the University of Idaho in Moscow.

She worked in California and met a young man by the name of Jimmy C. Irvin. They were married on Dec. 27, 1957, in Sacramento, Calif. They moved to Brookings for a year before coming to Dallas in 1971. Virginia was a homemaker and kept the books for Jim's general contracting business. She was a member of the Faith Evangelical Free Church in Dallas, P.E.O. and the Pastel Society of Oregon. She enjoyed pastel painting and studying the Bible.

She is survived by her husband Jim of Dallas, son Jeffrey W. Irvin of Dallas and daughter Andrea Dunton of Dallas, along with granddaughters Heather and Ivy. Also surviving is a brother Richard W. Thomas of Sequim, Wash., and a sister Evelyn Kemery of Sandpoint.
