Vote yes on March 20

I would like to encourage everyone in Bonner County to vote "yes" on the school levy on March 20. Even if you don't have children in the school district, the education of our future generation is at stake.

Many people are confused about the facts of the levy and I would encourage you to go to the school district Web site (www.lposd.org) and click on the link "levy information" before you make your decision. This link is very informative and you can figure out exactly what the levy will cost you personally, if, indeed it does cost you. The increase in your property taxes is so minimal there is really no reason for not supporting it.

In order for our country to be competitive in this ever increasing global community, education must become a top priority. All of our futures are at stake, not just the students who will directly benefit.
