Catherine 'Cathy' Converse, 57

Catherine "Cathy" Converse, 57, passed away at her home on Sunday, March 11, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 19, 2007 at Coffelt's Funeral Chapel, 109 N. Division Ave., in Sandpoint, Idaho. Dale Coffelt will officiate. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Coffelt's Funeral Chapel in Sandpoint.

Cathy was born on Dec. 2, 1949, in Sandpoint, the daughter of John and Laura Breeden.

She attended the Kootenai School and later graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1990.

She married Ron Converse on January 22, 1966, in Sandpoint and they celebrated their silver anniversary in 1991.

Over the years she worked at various jobs in the community.

She coached Pee Wee, Little League, and Colt League baseball for many years. She knew the rulebook and would express her opinion.

She enjoyed picking huckleberries, which she also sold commercially. She was an excellent seamstress and liked to sew Western shirts for family and friends.

Cathy enjoyed fishing, hunting, all local sports, country western music, and dancing with her husband Ron.

She is survived by her husband, Ron Converse; four children Carl (and Lisa) Converse, Glen (and Lynn) Converse, LoriAnn (and Shane) Converse Hannaman, and Courtney Converse; her mother, Laura Davenport; her brother, Richard (and Jay) Breeden; three sisters, Diana (and Billy) Rice, Janie (and Allan) Decker, and Linda (and Bob) Howard; seven grandchildren Brian, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jacob, BreLynn, Conner and Jessica; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Breeden; her stepfather, Paul Davenport; and a brother, Thomas Rickett.
