Pet owners need to keep Long Bridge, paths, clean
Dear Fellow Long Bridge Users,
I am writing at the first sign of spring with a desperate plea to my fellow canine friends who frequent our local walking paths with their masters. Could we all try extra hard this year to keep our poo off of the paths? I have just come in from a lovely walk with my owner and feel as if I was on an obstacle course, dodging piles of it everywhere.
I don't see how it is so hard to step off of the trail to do your business but if you cannot manage that then please encourage your owners to bring a nice plastic bag to load it up in and dump it in a garbage when you head back. Your image is at stake here! All who see you head out on one of these trails with an owner who is not carrying a "doggy bag" look down on you. Even if it is not your fault and they should be the responsible ones, having hands and all, you are frowned upon.
Please try to make this the summer of poo free trails and do your part by cleaning up after yourself … with your owners help.
