Richard Allen 'Dick' Higgins, 58

Richard Allen "Dick" Higgins, 58, was found near Careywood, Idaho, on March 14, 2007.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Dick was born on Jan. 30, 1949, in Burns, Ore., to Donald and Vachel Higgins.

He was raised in Harney County, Ore., and graduated from Burns High School.

He then joined the United States Army, and served in Korea.

After his discharge from the military, and a short stay in Harney County, he moved to Idaho.

He is survived by two brothers, Russel (Ingrid) Higgins of Burns, Ore., and Robert (Carol) Higgins of Lira, Uganda; a sister, Jane (Steve) Brabb of Ontario, Ore.; and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Vachel.
