Community's support appreciated by district

On behalf of the students and staff of the Lake Pend Oreille School District I would like to thank the members of our community who voted to support the recent supplemental levy.

Your "yes" vote made for the highest passing margin since the change in our district in the year 2000. More than 64 percent of our community confirmed that our schools are on the right path.

This is a credit to our capable staff and Board of Trustees. This vote of confidence and trust truly means a great deal to all of us.

The themes of our levy were "keeping the promise" and "good and getting better." As a community, you have kept your promise to the children. As a school district we will continue to work hard at helping a good school district become even better. We look forward to our future.
