RATHDRUM — Erin O'Hara had four hits, including her first home run of the season, a solo shot in the second inning, and the Hawks rode a seven-run sixth to a 9-3 win over the Bulldogs in Inland Empire League play.

"We finally started hitting the ball well in the sixth," Lakeland coach Colleen Nave said. "We just worked as a team and got it going."

Sandpoint's Brinda Bunn was solid on the mound for the first five innings, holding the Hawks to two runs.

Freshman Jamie Klopatek picked up her fourth win of the season, notching eight strikeouts and allowing five walks. "She's doing very well this year," Nave said.

Kim Guercio had two doubles for Sandpoint (0-5, 0-5 IEL).

Stephanie Heuett and Amanda North had three hits apiece for Lakeland (4-3, 1-2).

Sandpoint does not play again until after spring break.
