DISTRICT

The Selkirk Recreation District's (SRD) Board determined that it would be in the best interest of the SRD to elect all new SRD Board members, so that the Board members would reside in the district that they are representing and the districts would have nearly equal populations. This election will be held May 22, 2007. The SRD has been redistricted into the five nearly equal sub districts, with sub district 1 and 3 terms lasting until November 2010 and sub districts 2, 4 and 5 terms lasting until November 2008. Descriptions of the sub districts and candidacy forms are available from the SRD Secretary, Marsha Bell, at 110 Crystal Court.

Individuals desiring to be candidate from their sub district must declare their candidacy by completing the candidate form AND obtaining signatures from five (5) individuals in their sub district. The candidate forms must be returned by April 13, 2007 not later than 5:00 pm to 110 Crystal Court. The write-in candidate completed forms must be returned to 110 Crystal Court by April 27, 2007 not later than 5:00 p.m.
