Let's keep a good team intact

I write to thank Mindy Cameron for her work as a Lake Pend Oreille School Board trustee. She is up for re-election in Zone 4.

Mindy's most recent accomplishment, passage of the supplemental levy by record turnout and record margin, speaks not only to her experience and skill, but to her dedication to making the education of our children our first priority. She played a key role in hiring Dick Cvitanich; she is in her fourth session of contract negotiations with the teachers' association as lead negotiator and facilitator.

These negotiations have restored trust and respect, provided raises and successfully worked through other issues. Mindy oversees production of the district newsletter appearing quarterly in the Bee.

In addition to her commitment to the school board, Mindy has served with the Panhandle Alliance for Education to bring the CORE reading program to the school district and continues to pursue other programs and funding to improve our school district.

She is a committed leader with proven experience and skills. I will vote for Mindy Cameron in the upcoming election. We have a good team going; let's keep it together!
