What's good for the gander isn't good for the goose
What appears to be good for the gander is not so good for the goose.
Montana political powers are not so keen on the notion of having Canadian pollutants from the proposed coal mine located north of the border draining into the Flathead Valley, but don't seem to be concerned about the possible like event happening to Idaho.
The Clark Fork Alliance might be sitting on the wrong nest of eggs, considering that Montana can get Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to raise her cackle and peck at the Canadian foreign minister abut the coal mine.
If the alliance could just get Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter and Secretary Rice to fly the coop together on the Rock Creek Mine issue, they might find they have a whole gaggle of quacks. Could be time for governors from both states to scratch each other's feathers on the mines.
Water still runs down hill. Doesn't it?
What happens in the Flathead is going to happen in the Pend Oreille. Dams be damned.
