Mary Yanik, 96, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Monday, May 14, 2007.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, in the Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn, Wash. Dale Coffelt will officiate at the service.

Mary was born on April 4, 1911, in Osceola Mills, Pa., where she started school. She lived in Niagra Falls, N.Y., and in 1960 moved to California. She lived in Campbell, Calif., and Chico, Calif. For 30 years she made her home in Federal Way, Wash., moving to Sandpoint in 2003.

Mary enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her children Margaret Munson of Boise, Idaho, and James R. Yanik of Sandpoint; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Pete in North Carolina, and Andy and John, both in Pennsylvania; and a sister, Anna Bearer in New York.

Her parents, her husband, and four brothers preceded her in death.
