Doloris Florine 'Dee' Johnson, 67

Doloris Florine "Dee" Johnson, 67, passed away on May 25, 2007, in Post Falls, Idaho.

A potluck gathering for friends and family will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 4, 2007, at the home of Mavis Conner in Spirit Lake, Idaho. Please call 263-3180 for directions.

Dee was born on July 11, 1939, in Sandpoint, Idaho, the daughter of George and Gunda (Lindquist) Johnson. She grew up in Sandpoint and attended local school.

She met Pat Schimmel and together they traveled 46 states, following Pat's employment and returned to Sandpoint to be near her family.

Dee worked as a waitress in restaurants for many years, and enjoyed meeting the many friends. She was a generous person, opening her home during the holidays to friends and family for friendship and a meal. She retired in Spokane, Wash., to be closer to her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Ramona Schimmel and friend Tony of Spokane, Wash.; a son, Patrick Schimmel and friend Kim of Spokane; grandchildren, Kayla and Kellen Kerns of Spokane; sisters, Nita (Dave) Rice of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Mavis Walker of Spirit Lake, Idaho; brothers, Lou Johnson of Tacoma, Wash., and Keith Johnson of Samuels, Idaho; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Gunda Johnson; sister Lorraine Leone; infant sister Ramona; and brother David Johnson; and nephew, Butch Lee.
