Save Our Sandpoint campaign launched

My home is in the Sixth Avenue area of Sandpoint. Most of the homes in my neighborhood are either 100 years old or fast approaching that birthday. I am very concerned about the impact of the draft comprehensive plan and map on the integrity of my neighborhood. The current draft map shows commercial encroachment into this area and others throughout town.

The Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee is holding a meeting on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers. Although public input is not scheduled, I am encouraging the chairperson to allow public comment at the first of the meeting.

If you share a passion for preservation of neighborhoods and a fear of commercial creep, please attend this meeting.
