Some are deserving of 'unpatriotic badge'

| November 10, 2007 8:00 PM

Does Bob Wynhausen have a case against "right wing nuts" that would take our leaders to task as unpatriotic? Let me count the ways he's wrong:

Harry Reid, our illustrious Senate majority leader, recently called the current war "lost." Rep. Pete Stark of California said our kids are being sent "to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement." Robert Redford recently trashed the country that gave him everything he has to an Italian audience.

The same goes for Jimmy Carter, who recently created a stir for his anti-Semitic remarks.

In a recent poll, one in five Democrats think the world would be better off if the U.S. loses the war. Then there's the occasional losing candidate who trashes the voters because they rejected him/her for the office they were seeking.

All of the above are deserving of the unpatriotic badge, and Bob Wynhausen is as usual so far in left field, he's in foul territory.
