Tomina Faye Sutton

Tomina Faye Sutton passed away on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, in Magalia, Calif.

She was born in Santa Rosa, Calif., on Dec. 6, 1958. She spent the majority of her life in northern California; however, her teenage years were spent in Sandpoint, Idaho, with her father and stepmother, Joe and Ruth Sutton.

She attended school in Bonner County, but graduated from Vallejo High School in California. The last 12 years of her life were spent in Magalia. She had worked at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for quite some time and also worked as a part-time waitress.

Tomina left us following an extended illness and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She had a kind spirit and loving, generous heart. Tomina enjoyed hiking, crystal hunting, working in her yard and sewing.

Tomina enjoyed the company of many friends and family.

She is survived by her daughter, Brianne and Jeremy Woodward; her grandchildren, Kyle and Andrew of Sacramento; her son, Brad Stancliff of Magalia; her mother, Alice Estes of Magalia; her stepfather, Rusty Estes of Paradise, Calif.; her stepmother, Ruth Sutton of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; her sister, Lynnette Rude of Chico, Calif.; half-brothers, Mark and Dan Estes of Paradise and Joe Sutton of Bonners Ferry; half sisters, Renee Hood of Loyalton, Calif., and Leanna (Warren) Cox of Sandpoint. In addition, she will be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and other family members.

She was preceded in death b her father, Lloyd "Big Joe" Sutton in May 2001.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, in Chico, Calif.'
