Wanda Lou Cerwensky, 72, walked on after valiantly fighting her illness for many years on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Wanda was born Feb. 8, 1935, in McKinney, Texas, to Maurice and Addie Hogue and was raised in Greenville, Texas.

She later moved to Los Angeles and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During this time she met and married Alfred Jacob Cerwensky. Mr. Cerwensky died in 1969. She then met Mario Schepis who later died in 2003.

Wanda often sacrificed her own necessities for the benefit of others that she loved. She never gave up even though life was difficult at times, this was an inspiration to others.

Wanda settled in Sandpoint, Idaho, in 2002 to enjoy her remaining years in Idaho's beautiful panhandle.

She enjoyed reading, hiking, panning for gold, the outdoors, and traveling.

She leaves to cherish in her memory her mother, Addie Dominy; four sisters, Helen, Peggy, Barbara and June; five children, Al, Jon, Donna, Luise, and Jacob; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Salem.

She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice; stepfather, John Dominy; and husbands, Alfred and Mario.
