Richard LeRoy 'Rick' Breeden

| November 23, 2007 8:00 PM

Richard LeRoy "Rick" Breeden, 56, passed away on Nov. 21, 2007, at his home in Ahsahka, Idaho.

Rick was born Feb. 8, 1951, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Rick attended Kootenai and Sandpoint schools. He loved to play football and baseball.

After school, Rick was a bit of a rebel and most of you already know that! Hehehehe! Anyway, after he grew up from those days, he moved to Ahsahka in 1990.

Rick made the most of his life in the Clearwater Valley. His love for the river fishing steelhead and salmon brought him great joy. Rick really enjoyed fishing with his family (sons, nephews, brothers-in-law, etc.) and friends.

If Rick was not enjoying the river, he was enjoying the mountains hunting for deer and elk with friends and family.

Rick watched his son and the youth of the community grow. Rick spent many hours volunteering for the baseball programs, building the programs, coaching, caring for fields, equipment, etc. He is a huge fan of the Orofino Maniacs and rarely missed a game.

Rick also enjoyed watching any sports his sons, Kenny and Ricky, or granddaughters, Andrea and Jordie, participated in. Jordie was Rick's newest granddaughter and she is 4 1/2 years of age. Rick really loves/enjoys her. She will miss her Papa Rick. Before his passing, he got to see her dance (tap and ballet) and play soccer.

Rick is preceded in death by his father, John Breeden; his mother, Laura Breeden Davenport; a brother, Thomas Rickett; and a sister, Kathy Converse. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Jaylene; his sons, Kenny (Naomi), and Ricky; granddaughters, Andrea and Jordie; sisters, Diane (Billy) Rice, Janie (Allen) Decker, and Linda (Bob) Howard; along with numerous members of his extended family.

Services will be held in Orofino, Idaho, on Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Pine Hills Funeral Home.

He will be dearly missed but not forgotten.
