If you can't make it, call and cancel reservation

| November 26, 2007 8:00 PM

Our restaurant was open for Thanksgiving dinner with reservations required. We were sold out two weeks in advance and had to turn folks away who wanted to have Thanksgiving dinner at our restaurant.

On Thanksgiving we had a total of five parties of four who did not show up or even bother canceling their reservations. We called the telephone numbers we were given and some of them were non-working numbers or no answer.

This was very disturbing to me and my staff having empty tables on a day when we could have filled them. I hope people read this letter and understand that we in the food service business depend on our reservations and honestly understand that sometimes plans change and a simple call of cancellation is truly appreciated.

I wish to extend my apology to any of our customers who wanted to dine with us on Thanksgiving and could not.
