Ron Paul is deserving of American voters' support

| November 26, 2007 8:00 PM

I was happy to see coverage of the Ron Paul phenomenon in the Sunday edition, but there is certainly a lot more that could be said about the presidential candidacy of Dr. Paul.

First of all, in a political environment that has become rotten to the core, Dr. Paul stands out as an honest man who has maintained his integrity in spite of the corrupting nature of Washington, D.C., politics. This speaks volumes about his moral character. Many Americans are awakening to the reality that even though America supposedly has two political parties, there is really only one agenda; that of globalism.

Ron Paul understands that the representative republic of the United States is based on the constitution and is supposed to be a government of the people, by the people and for the people. But our current "leadership" has deviated from the course set by the founders. Ron Paul will work hard to get us back on course.

The fundraising ability of Dr. Paul's campaign is amazingly unique because the vast majority of his contributors are regular people who recognize our country is in big trouble and they believe Ron Paul is our last hope. This is in contrast to the mainstream candidates of both parties, who are funded mostly by corporations, foundations, and other special interest groups.

Regardless of your party affiliation, Ron Paul represents a highly intelligent, honest, and uncompromised man who understands how our republic is supposed to function and is worthy of your support.
