Hess leads Cats in shellacking of Mullan (late)
CLARK FORK — Senior Megan Hess has been a pleasant surprise for Clark Fork this season, scoring a game-high 17 points and demonstrating an improved shooting touch while leading the Cats past Mullan 59-22 Tuesday night in Clark Fork.
The Cats (4-0) jumped out to a 23-8 first quarter lead, and never looked back, holding Mullan to single digit scoring in every quarter.
Shaina Gustafson scored 10, Chelsea Macumber nine and Bailey Hewitt and Amy Gannon six apiece to lead a balanced scoring attack. The Cats have received solid scoring contributions from six different players this year, improving upon the depth that they lacked last season.
Fawn Story led Mullan with 15 points.
