America's health care system is broken

| October 3, 2007 9:00 PM

I was told by an acquaintance that if one were to spend a lifetime studying the Constitution, one would find no guarantee of access to quality health care therein.

"Provide for the common good." That proclamation is all I need to interpret that universal health care serves as one of the definitions demonstrating the concept of serving the common good.

I believe America's health care system is broken. I inquired of this person what options do the less fortunate have other than ever diminishing emergency care facilities. I was told there is no such thing as a free lunch.

It's a dilemma, a disgrace and a sin. Congress circumvents dealing with the problem. It ignores the hypocrisy of denying universal health care for the masses while providing for themselves superior health care.

Our congressional leaders have learned to rise above principle. They serve and preach the dogma of their corporate masters while enjoying the benefits provided within the totally socialistic institution they have created for themselves.
