| October 6, 2007 9:00 PM

A Bonners Ferry youngster was killed Saturday afternoon after he was ejected from a pickup in which he was a passenger.

Cameron Corcoran, 19, of Bonners Ferry was southbound about 1:11 p.m. on U.S. 95 near milepost 514.2 when his 1985 Chevy pickup went off the right side of the roadway. Corcoran overcorrected and went off the left side of the roadway, according to an Idaho State Police press release.

The vehicle became airborne and landed on its right side at the base of a tree, before rolling back on its wheels and striking a second tree.

Corcoran's passenger, Larry Dugger, 12, also of Bonners Ferry, was ejected. He was later pronounced dead at Boundary Community Hospital.

It is unknown if either was wearing a seatbelt.

An investigation is ongoing.
