| October 12, 2007 9:00 PM

PLUMMER — Clark Fork came out clicking on all cylinders Friday night, building a 30-0 first quarter lead and then cruising to a 56-32 North Star League win over Lakeside in Plummer.

Mike Martin had another stellar game running the Cats' wide open aerial offense, connecting on 11-18 passes, for 252 yards and four touchdowns. Matt Bellville moved the chains on the ground, rushing for 155 yards and two touchdowns.

"We jumped out on them but the Lakeside kids kept fighting back," said Cats coach Brian Arthun, whose team has already secured a 1A state playoff berth. "I challenged them at halftime and they started tackling better and we ran it up to 56-18 at the end of the third quarter."

Clark Fork (6-1, 3-0) put a lot of their younger players in and the Knights (0-6, 0-3) continued to battle hard and add a couple late scores.

Drew Wilkinson had five catches for 90 yards and two scores and Austin Martin grabbed five balls for 42 yards and a score, and also returned a kick for a touchdown.

The Cats play a rare Thurday night game at Kootenai next week to determine the league champion and who gets to host the first playoff game.
